Josephine Fisher is an actor, singer, writer and producer of independent theatre who operates through the cabaret persona of Mz Josephine.

From Sydney’s Hell Fire Club to the Fringe and Comedy Festivals of Melbourne; Mz Josephine’s tendency to reveal more than absolutely necessary has made her a popular entertainer with her customers. Regaling them with saucy songs, anecdotes, dildo dancing, striptease, fabulist story telling and tales of love gone kinky. Mz Josephine was invented to explore the politics of pleasure and to encourage her audiences to be curious about their own.

A fictional departure from Empress Josephine, Mz Josephine adventure’s have been performed in numerous Kabaretts,  Empress Josephine’s Lingerie Cabaret, Mistress Josephine’s Kabaret  Misdemeanours, Mistress Josephine in Silliness Speaks, Mistress Josephine’s Kabaret Desserts, Mistress Josephine in Whipped  Cream and now Mz Josephine’s Amazing Holiday. Mz Josephine also participates in many burlesque shows - to name a few, “Go Go Burlesco“, “Mistress Josephine’s Variety Burlesque Show,“ ”Burlesque Battle Royale,” “Triple XXX Burlesque,“ “Burlesque Idol,” and currently “Kabaresque.”

Appearing as an act, a Mistress of Ceremonies, a Singer and  behind the scenes as a producer, Mz Josephine operates as a solo performer who is  focused on creating new and innovative theatre work, and can adapt her work to suit many entertainment  situations. Mz Josephine also collaborates with other creative artists in the Melbourne theatre scene.
